Marketing Opportunities

The Connecticut Society of Association Executives (CSAE) invites you to become part of our effort to do more for our members, suppliers and the association community. We will work with you to increase your exposure and visibility to the association community in Connecticut. Your participation in our Marketing Opportunities program will work for you as well as help CSAE better serve those who work in the field or supply nonprofits.

We have outlined most of your marketing opportunities with CSAE. This overview should help you decide which opportunities work best for your business. In addition, this information can help you better plan your budget for the coming year.

Check out these CSAE Marketing Opportunities

  • Sponsorships An annual sponsorship that gives you visibility year around with levels that include your exhibit at the 2008 Annual Conference, newsletter advertising and more.
  • Advertising Yes, you can advertise in the CSAE print newsletter -- always priced right. There are other opportunities, too. A new "Hot Stuff" e-mail advertising program is very affordable and reaches our members by e-mail whenever you need to get a message out. Also new: website advertising and e-newletter advertising.
  • Annual Conference The 2008 Annual Conference is being held November 3, 2008 at the Holiday Inn, Waterbury. Reserve your exhibit space.
  • Education
    • Meeting Hosts We already have two hosts! Get our members into your facility for direct, in-person marketing. Host a meeting or series of meetings.
    • Present, Author, Sponsor There are two no cost options here. Let us know what your areas of expertise are. Speak at one of our educational sessions or conference tracks. Write an article for our newsletter. Do you have a strong interest in a particular subject? Sponsor an event for an in-person marketing opportunity with your target audience.
  • New Developments
    • CEO Symposium This is an opportunity for regional marketing to both the paid staff and volunteer leaders working in the association industry in Connecticut, New York (north of NYC), Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. The Joint CEO Symposium is sponsored by the Connecticut Society of Association Executives, the Empire State Society of Association Executives and the New England Society of Association Executives.
    • Students and SIGs (Special Interest Groups) CSAE's newest programs include building an internship program, developing a scholarship fund, and adding special interest groups. You can have a place in any of these programs.
  • Marketing Opportunities (all of the above in one document)

This is what we've accomplished with the help of our associate member and supplier support:

  • Growing attendance at the CSAE Annual Conference by 50 percent
  • Increasing membership by 25 percent
  • Offering opportunities to forge relationships with association decision makers: Scholarship Bowl, Program Receptions, ASAE Annual Meeting Receptions, Mini Golf Tournament, and more
  • Including more discussion opportunities with programs like the CSAE Book Club
  • Enhancing recognition of our associate members and sponsors in both print and electronic media
  •  Improving the consistency of marketing efforts to establish CSAE as a resource to the association community within Connecticut, with other societies of association executives nationally, and with the American Society of Association Executives
  • Offering new joint program, CEO Symposium, with New England Society of Association Executives and Empire State Society of Association Executives
  • Developing Internship Program to benefit college students, the nonprofit sector and the hospitality industry
  • Developing Scholarship Fund to assist qualified college students pursuing degrees in the nonprofit or hospitality sectors
